Our hides come from animals raised for food. Leather is a byproduct of the food industry — we ensure nothing goes to waste.
“We use what already exists. We don’t create new demand. We prevent waste.”
These hides would otherwise end up in landfills. By crafting them into timeless pieces, we preserve natural resources and reduce waste.
“In the hands of our artisans, they’re transformed into functional, beautiful pieces meant to last.”
Unlike synthetic alternatives that quickly wear out, leather ages beautifully, gains character, and eliminates the need for frequent replacements.
All leather is sourced from LWG-certified tanneries
“It’s biodegradable and repairable — unlike plastic-based alternatives.”
All LGDO products are made in Portugal, working closely with local artisans, workshops and certified suppliers to ensure each piece is made responsibly, from start to finish.
“We reduce transport emissions and support local skilled, fair-wage labor.”
We don’t chase trends. We design products that stay relevant — in style and function — for decades.
“We design for longevity — because the most sustainable choice is the one that lasts.”
“Our mission is to bring traditional craftsmanship into today’s world.
Combining timeless design, lasting quality, and respect for both people and planet.”
The LWG is an international organisation that has set itself the goal of promoting ecologically responsible leather production and making it more transparent on the basis of recognised procedures. The LWG audit programme is the standard with the strictest requirements and highest acceptance.
